Surgud Island - Upper Class Manors
Just to recap, these are pictures I took of the MOD at the time I created it and so they may not be the best to show as they were not taken with this blog in mind.I don't know where I saved this MOD so cant go back and retake any more appropriate pictures.
So west of the Temple are the upper class Manors.
These are a couple of houses where the high ranking family members live.
Next up is the Council House where the ruling family run the Island from.

Surgud Island - Guilds and Commercial Area
To the east and north of the Temple are the commercial areas and Guilds.
This is the upper class commercial street, day and night shot, featuring traders in fine goods and weapon smiths etc.
Some more upper class commercial traders this time around the edge of the market square.
Below is a view of the Fighters and Mages Guild buildings, both day and evening shots.
Next up will be the Upper Class residential area.

Surgud Island - The Temple
In the center of the island is the Temple, this was done deliberately as religion is the center of the Dunmer's lives and so placing the Temple in the center of the island was symbolic of this.
Just past the Temple in the background you can see one of the Guard Towers.
Up next I will show some shots of the Commercial area and Guilds.

Surgud Island - Market Square and Inn's
Below are a few pictures of the square with a a huge tree as a central focal point. The stalls would be erected around the tree and in the area lining the street that leads down to the entrance gate. Along the wall are established traders in buildings.
View from the entrance gate.
View looking toward the 'upper class inn's.
The next area to be shown is the Temple.

Surgud Island - Harbour Area
The layout of the island consists of a Harbour to the north
east then just south of that the wooden shacks (the darker side of Surgud
Island).
In the foreground you can see the Customs House where all ships and boats docking are obliged to pay the import taxes and duties.
The wooden shack area is where I placed my first bad-guy quest which I will go into on a later post.
In the next post the Market Square.

Surgud Island - Morrowind MOD
After I did the house MOD in Balmora I was pretty hooked on modding and set about on a huge island project called Surgud Island. The island is situated south west of Seyda Neen and the idea is the island is a strategic asset as it can exert influence on shipping / trade in and out of Seyda Neen and indirectly Balmora. The island is controlled by an Imperial family and they style themselves along the lines of the Great Dunmer Houses.
The picture above shows the island in its first edition. I went on to expand its size by about four times to add some wild areas for exploration by the player, the plan was to add a cave a mine a sunken wreck and some forested area.
In the next few posts I will show what pictures I have of the island city from the ground view.

Hlaalu Horator Manor Balmora MOD
It is a house MOD situated in Balmora just in front of the Temple. Like may of you I joined House Hlaalu and used the Rethan Manor abode which I loved, and actually wish Skyrim's abodes were similar in that they are more like a compound than individual houses, but it was a bit far to trek into Balmora every time you wanted to sell stuff or travel anywhere so I created my own Manor in Balmora.
I went a bit crazy and the interior scale is way off but hey its my house :)
The dining area.
The dining area looking towards the lounge behind the screens and library to the left.
The dining area looking towards the kitchen.
The man with the blue robes standing by the library area is a Mage that will teleport you to the main Guilds.
The Lounge
The Master Bedroom as you come up the stairs.
Opposite view looking toward the stairs.
I enjoyed making this MOD so much that I embarked on an ambitious project to create my own island!
