Sigrun Dal - More Landscaping

I have been adding lots more trees and bushes to the landscape as well as more features.

In the space in front of the Gold Mine I have added some ruins, meant to represent a ruined barrow. Here are some pictures of different views. I want to reinforce the eagle motif wherever I can.

I have also added some eagle type pillars to the existing arches etc.

After

More veg gardens to the houses.

These finishing touches never seem to end..lol still haven't got near the other side of the valley or done anything to the actual dwelling exteriors to make them unique.

Sigrun Dal - MOD

Have not spent much time these last few days on my MOD but here are some pictures showing additions to the landscape like trees, shrubs, rocks etc etc.

The pictures below are looking from the bottom of the valley towards the entrance.

The pictures below are of the Blacksmith looking in the same direction but standing on the bridge that spans the water which is to the left of the ones above.

The pictures below are of the Blacksmith where I am adding rubble etc to add interest.

I am not sure yet what to put in the area in front of the Gold Mine.

I have pretty much finished placing all the trees etc and now just need to decide if I like what I see before tackling the other side of the valley.

Sigrun Dal - MOD - Roads

I didn't like the stone texture I used for the roads because I felt it clashed with the 'Tundra' textures of the actual landscape.

I laid down 'road' pieces along these paths but they are proving difficult to align and level off because roads should be laid before you finalize land height really.

Here are some before and after pictures to show the difference.

I need to tweak the level more but for now it will have to do.

I need to work on finishing the rest of the landscape, the other side of the valley has yet to be touched.

Sigrun Dal - Gold Mine

Well the reason the community can exist at all is that it has resources in the form of a gold mine. Gold is small, heavy but easy to transport enough to purchase whatever you require as it is very valuable.

This is the view looking towards the entrance to the valley which is just behind the tower.

Need to work on the rest of the landscape now.

Sigrun Dal - MOD - More Points of Interest

I added some building rubble to this part of the valley to remind the player as he walks through the valley that it is an ancient place.

I have also added some eagle head statues to strategic places.

While I was adding these features I was doing some work on the river bank. Below you can see rocks and tree stumps etc.

I have not yet added any trees to this section, below you can see I have done that to the snow covered section.

Here is a picture of nothing. It is the other half of this side of the valley waiting for me to get  to it. You can see the Tower in the background which is just in front of the entrance.

I have a plan for this part of the valley, it is the reason this community can exist at all. So stay tuned to see what it is.

Sigrun Dal - MOD - Points of Interest

Here are some pictures of architectural and layout features that I have added to create interest in this part of the valley. Above is a picture of the view of the Catacombs looking between two buildings, I added the little guardhouse in front as a point of interest in addition to its function.

Next I have added some arches along the main paths in the valley.

To go with the arches I have added stairs to the steeper sections.

I have not decided whether I want to add treasure that can be found in the valley as it seems a bit inappropriate that items of value are laying around in an isolated valley inhabited by this clan. But then that can be said about the whole of Skyrim!..lol

I will be adding more of this as I go along.
